Fighter, this topic is about Puntland not you. Invite them to Dhusomareeb or wherever you're from (they probably wouldn't even want to go), but Puntlanders aren't stupid enough to wage their future on paying back a favor to a nation that provided disingenuous charity for a brief period.

Let the Turks leave Somalia, they've contributed nothing; just 1 fact-finding mission in Gaalkacyo and partial funding to a hospital in Bosaso thus far in Puntland. Whatever money they put into Xamar, your cousins and uncles have looted anyway.

When the media spotlight disappears, so will the Turks. Good night.

I thought I was the only person who saw through the turkish farce.

Cosign. I wouldnt take away what the Turks have done in somalia though, and they have done a lotta great things, but by the end of the day this isnt some IMF-like tied-aid humanitarian assistance payback. Whatever country provides the best deal, from a business generating, employment creating and development building stand point, ought to be looked at, and dealt with. Period.

Turkey didn't do anything for Puntland all they did was hand out food to fleeing refugees in muqdisho and areas. Fighter make it sounds like they are feeding every Somali on earth.

Turkey only became involved in Somalia when their US/EU masters made them aware about the TFG and resources. Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Emiratis have been active in Somalia much longer, even poor Yemen has done more for Somalis than anyone else.

Fuck Turkey and their fake charity. These faggots were gone for 20 years and they come when Somalis (Puntland especially) gets its shit together at the highest level, acting like their charity is genuine. Only a blind donkey can fall for that trick.

Contracts should go to Korea & Japan, this should be about business. And I'm sure Puntland is ahead of the situation; Turkey should build their orphanages and shit in Xamar, Puntland is a place of business and Turkey doesn't bring real business to Somalia.

Wallahi Japan has been helping Somalis for decades on building important institutions, they are my #1 choice along with Korea.

lol. I wouldn't say nothing at all. You're forgetting about the students in Turkey on that scholarship, the doctors operating on people, and their hand in the building of the hospital. If thats little, its still a helluva lot more than what Korea, for instance, has done for our people. Anyway, like I said all of this is still irrelevant and doesn't hold any bearing on things as far future contracts go. Turks are impressive in their own right, and if they come up with a grand scheme that bodes well, they should be given a chance. :)

Monk,

You missed the whole point of my comment. I don't care whether or not Turkey gets all or none of the contracts. Its none of my business. I can care less about that. What I was saying had nothing to do with the contracts whatsoever. My comment had nothing to even do with Puntland.

My comment was solely only directed at you suggesting that the Turks are doing "fake charity" for Somalis. I was not directing my comment towards anything else.

I was not trying to say Puntland should give Turkey projects. That's none of my business. All I was addressing was the comment you said about the Turks engaging in fake charity.

You misunderstood what I was addressing and that was partly my fault for not being more clearer.

The only reason Turkey got involved was to outdo Iran, whose influence in their region and abroad they have been fighting to quell. This has nothing to do with helping Somalis. If anything, the Japanese have been the most constructive for Somalia.

Anyway, as it stands, neither Turkey nor Iran have shit to offer Somalia, let the chink brothers in.
