Nope Huriwa is a different district. Huriwa is located in northern Mogadishu were's Howlwadaag is more of central. As you can see from this map before Al shabab was cleansed from the city.Is this the same as hurwaa horta?

Avicenna knows what he is talking about, he really describe my Hodan neighborhood very well, and its mostly Murunsade and some abgaal.Howlwadaag district is adjacent to Waaberi in the North (via Liberia, Otto Otto, Sayidka, Dabka road separate it from Waaberi district). And on the other side you have Hodan (Siigaale, shineemo Hodan, etc aka jidka shaqaalaha) separate it from Hodan. At the height of the civil war (in the 90s), this district along with some parts of Hodan were known as Bermuda; one of the least inhabited and most feared districts of the city because it was the epicenter of the war and later became home to some really notorious gangs. But, after ICU came to power and even a little before that, residents started repopulating the district and eventually the main roads leading to it (via Liberia, Sayidka/degaandaga Cali Caliyoow leading to Baar Ubax, etc and even Masaajidka Isbaheysiga were all reopened in 2006). I visited it in 2006 and it was peaceful at the time, since then, from what I hear from relatives, it is resettled and stable. The area towards Orientionka and suuqa Mijiska is very populated, but suuqa is no longer there. My grandmother lived in that area and some relatives.
I don't know when Ceyr, HG suddenly made up the majority here, but last I knew - it was a mixed district, mostly inhabited by Murusade, Abgaal and others. Keep in mind, Tokyo wasn't all that far, nor is Wardhiigleey which had very large Abgaal & Murusade populations.
