Hiiraan's Selection of Tarsan

Postby guhad122 » Sun Feb 19, 2012 7:16 pm

A friend of mine called me to have me check the comments on this article. To my astonishment, there are over 206 comments on this article. I couldn't believe and I started reading the comments. 90% of these comments are old-schoolers who speak Somali as it is supposed to. Who are these guys? Are there discussion forums where we can learn from their rich Somali literature. Absolutely amazing!!! From Dhoodaan's jacbur, to the Sodoh and Weysha ii qabo story to the guurka. I mean these guys covered all kinds of topics in a single thread with amazing superiority of Somali. These are commentators such as Secular, Fiqicigaal, Stickocarrot, Nomadic1 and JSoomane.
Some of their referenced idioms and xikmad include:
Dhoodaan talking about how women are gold diggers "kookakoola iyo bollo way dalam sanaysaaye, agtaaday ka soo raamsataa sidii hashaadiiye"!
Dhoodaan talking about how Somalis will get to the moon following the success of the Russians and US "Orgi fuulayaa iyo qabaal miig ka dhiganaabe, waa inaan samada aadnaaye".

"Odayga habarta wax loo saar",

Reer Ciideed girl got married and her husband wanted to give her a nice kiss on the lips and she said "Xaggaa iiga durug muxuu bishamaha iila soo doonanayaa
ma kutaab jaamac ah buu i mooday!"
I just feel sorry of the Xaayoow folks who venture to the site to read comments about Tarsan, only to find out "Madmadoobe Allaa ku yaqaan"

As for the decision of choosing this British refugee as the mayor and then calling him the person of the year, it is just a typical Hiiraan hypocrisy. Faroole deserves more recognition than this dude because Faroole is not protected by Ugandan contingents but instead relies on "niman gaaagaaban oo reer Bari ah".
