Every Somali had investments in Xamar and were heavily involved in the politics. SYL soo soomali oo dhan mey aheen? Can you say the same about bosaso and the creation of Puntland? No.

Xamar is too large and too important to ever become part of maamul state. It will remain in Federal control.

i haven't been followiing along, but do u think a person from Marka should be able rule Cabudwaaq? A guy who's reer mataan should he be able to rule Buulo Xawo?

I believe anyone who the locals choose should be able to rule. I don't believe in this mentality of non abgaals should not be able to run for city positions in xamar. If he is not elected that is one thing, but to not even be able to run for office is another thing.

Ur making it seem like Xamar became a city in the 50's and 60's. Xamar has always been the largest city that's why it became what it is, and when it was starting out, no everyone did not have property in it. Just like Boosaaso in 98 only had a few people but as it grew a lot more people from all over the place have sizeable investments in it. Now why are u not willing to share Boosaaso, today? There are plenty of non MJ's living in Boosaaso aren't there.
