I am not trying to sell anything. I am only reporting. I don't know what estimates were used but anyone who has gone to Xamar and is honest will tell you Sade are one of the top 3 major clans still there. I don't think there is anyone on this site who has as much credibility talking about Mogadishu on a first hand basis the last 20 years than Ciyaal_Warta (did he even come back from his last trip?) and he has confirmed to the forum more than once that Sade are still one of the major clans in Mogadishu and in fact still have neighborhoods where they are the majority by settlement.

As I have been told, there were two re-energized waves of back migration and that was the Abdiqasim presidency and the ICU movement. They have since stayed and with numbers and cessation of nationalized "Hawiye vs. Darod" armed hostilities have given themselves moderate protection.

I think as the country moves toward more stability, you will see a political push by Sade for the political representation they deserve in that city. These are just signs that should tell you not to be surprised then.

Guys-

I'm not trying to claim Mogadishu and personally I would want most Sade to go to Kismaayo or Gedo. I simply posted this topic because of the confidence expressed by those men in Mogadishu some of them tied very well to the TFG.

Personally I think legally Sade are one of the richest clans in Mogadishu by land and as you can see my cousin's house there is in front of KM4, in prime Mogadishu real estate. I would prefer to have a small number of Sade real estate and business elite there and majority investment and residence in what is sure to be Somalia's most desired city for living and which we are now recognized to be the majority---Kismaayo.

Political coordination I suppose. If you become the primary stakeholder in what has the possibility of being Somalia's richest state (Jubbaland), then it can't hurt to also have a hand in the local running of the national seat of government as well as using all of that to be a primary stakeholder of the national government itself.
