Islamists backtracking

Postby union » Fri Feb 24, 2012 12:20 am

PARIS, Feb 22 (Reuters)- After months of reassuring secularist critics, Islamist politicians in Tunisia and Egypt have begun to lay down markers about how Muslim their states should be -- and first signs show they want more religion than previously admitted.

Islamist parties swept the first free elections in both countries in recent months after campaigns that stressed their readiness to work with the secularists they struggled with in the Arab Spring revolts against decades-long dictatorships.

With political deadlines looming, the Tunisian coalition led by the reformist Islamist Ennahda party and the head of Egypt's influential Muslim Brotherhood both made statements this week revealing a stronger emphasis on Islam in government.

Popular List, an Ennahda coalition member tasked with writing Tunisia's new constitution, announced on Monday its draft called Islam "the principle source of legislation" -- a phrase denoting laws based on the sharia moral and legal code.

Secularists must take to the street en mass and stop these Islamist clowns from putting shariah in the constitutions, Coptics especially should be mobilizing for the a battle of a generation, the stakes are very high.

The people have freed themselves from the shackles of secular dictators and western puppets, alxamdulilah now they will enjoy the rule of authentic Islamic government. God bless those resilient people who refuse to accept anything that deviates from the righteous path!

you think the islamic bortherhood is islam? they are worst than devils they are gonna massacre all the christinas if you read their lead thinker syed qutbgyou would know they are very extreme. I was reading one of their proposals in parliament and they said they gonna arrest christian coptics selling alchohol. but this is not how sharia works because different rules apply to christians so this shows their devoid of thinking. most of these people are idiots who dont know anythin about islam. look a t their spiritual leader yusuf qardawi a crazy man who said suicide bombing is permissible.

ill be very scared if I were you and hope god makes the military council protect us from their evil.

Couldn't say so better myself.

I have a few questions ya Sheik, if you don't mind answering.

1. Pretend I was the leader of a nation, and I decided to imprison clerics who I found to be a threat to my society, Islamically speaking I would be justified to do that as Amir right?
2. Can a leader, Amir, execute clerics he finds offensive?
3. Must people obey government paid clerics?
4. Salafis and others must tolerate a secular government or else they are causing fitnah in the land, correct?
