A lot of harm comes from not allowing religious schools. Kids won't learn the Quran, how to pray properly, the rules of fasting, etc.I don't hate Islam. I think Islam is a great religion when you look at its festivals, it's interesting history the culture, etc. But I do think politically Islam must be kept in control and regulated to ensure moderation and harmony. Sufi Islam is the best form of Islam, while the Salafi ideology you follow Mr. Shirib is a threat to civilized society
There's nothing political about dugsi's but for some reason you don't want children to get a religious education when they are most primed for learning.
Kids learn how to pray and the basics of the qu'ran at home with their parents. They learn advanced qu'ran and Islamic aqeedah at the religious schools, and there is no problem with waiting until their teenage years for that. If they start going to a religious school at a very early age they will become prejudiced in favor of religious ideologies, and secular schools need not compete with that. Can you tell me how the Turkish school teachers will be able to tell a six year old that Mustafa Kemal Attaturk was the greatest man and the savior of Turkey if the duugsi teacher tells him/her that secularism is haram and sovereignty comes from Allah alone, and anybody who says otherwise will burn in hell for all eternity? The child will probably become terrified and out of fear become an Islamist. This scenario will be less likely if the child is a teenager, with a more mature mind. A mature teenage student will probably ignore the mullah and ask him if secularism is so bad, why is Turkey the jewel of the Muslim world while shabab Somalia and Taliban Afghanistan are in the toilet
