How can one move to these countries? (UAE,Kuwait,Qatar etc)

Postby ZubeirAwal » Sat Apr 07, 2012 4:16 pm

Since my last visit to Sharjah last year i can honestly say the atmosphere and enviroment is great, i find it more easy to pray due to the adans and such, and i have a goal to master and learn the arabic language fluently.

Which one is better to rent or to buy?

and Inshallah if i get money how will i manage it in such country.

The housing prices in UAE are incredible and great,i can live in the Jumeirah district for just £10-18,000 per year which is great.
And also buying isn't a problem either:

For example this apartment :

is AED 145,000 which is £24,000

but my question is , it cannot be as easy as that?

people who lived in arab countries shed some thoughts plz. :geek:

^^ That apartment for £24,000, really? With no hidden costs, like taxes or other stuff? Can anyone confirm that please?

Plus, who can buy apartments in the UAE or even other Middle Eastern countries? Only citizens/people that have residence there or they let everyone?

:?:

Don't foreigners usually get their houses paid for by their employers?

yeap, that true. plus they get:
- a maid
- a free car with a personal driver
- free food
- free medicine
- 6 weeks paid vacation
- a free airline return ticket
- you pay no taxes. so lets say your salary is $120,000/year. you will be paid $10,000/month with no deductions.

Loved the UAE, its like having a mosque everywhere in whatever city you live in. Missing prayers is gonna be the thing of the past. at the same time, if you are the fun having type of guy you can party til your eyes are read and no one will mess with you. but i would only consider going there if you get hired directly. They cover a lot of your expenses so you can live big. aah damn what pleasure a small education can get you

Not really..
Things in the middle are different nowadays *I only have knowledge about the UAE*.. And trust me you wont get half of the above..

Obviously the tax free salary is true.. So is free healthcare and a free airline ticket but the rest nah not really.. I was there a few months ago and I randomly applied for a job and they were offering the above I mentioned.. Included free internet home access, 4 weeks paid vacation, and allowance for an apartment but according to my brother who works there the apartments are ridiculously expensive.. Therefore the allowance they offer wont even stretch far.. Plus there's shortage of living apartments and most single expats shack in together..

10k is a hell of a lot of money..@ Monday.. :|

The job I was about to apply for was offering £2000 per month.. And one needed at least 2 years experience within the field.. The salary is exactly like the UK only difference is its tax free and one gets a little more benefits.. :|

Ps. Most jobs also offer an end of contract gratuity.. Not sure how much it is.. But its not much ruunti.. :|
