SOMALI GETS DRAFTED IN THE WNBA

Sweden’s Farhiya Abdi was selected with the 13th overall pick in the second round of the WNBA by The Los Angeles Sparks this afternoon in Bristol Connecticut.

The 20-year-old Abdi(08 Stockholm), who is currently playing in Czech Republic for Czech’s Frisco Brno was also a member of the team that finished fourth at the Summer Universiade in 2011 .

She is in the WNBA, I'm waiting the day Somali join NBA, NFL and FIFA/worldcup. what ever happen to all those faraxs that play basketball/soccer 24/7 on the streets?
shame on them.
I heard there is a Somali boy that was picked up by the NCAA, and also a Somali guy went to the NFL draft but was rejected.

There's a kid at Washington State. He blew out his knee but he was playing with Klay Thompson last year and Thompson was drafted by Golden State last summer.
