Somalis with Western names?

A few days ago I met a Somali guy named John? Is this normal? Have you ever heard of Somalis with Western first names?

nadia, sofia ,miriam, leila....very common western names usurped from the muslims when they ruled europe.

I've never seen/heard of a Somali with a straight up Western name.. Pakistanis/Indians are infamous for this.. They usually change their name to a western one to fit in I guess..

I know a few Somalis with borderline western names.. I myself have one..

I've never seen/heard of a Somali with a straight up Western name.. Pakistanis/Indians are infamous for this.. They usually change their name to a western one to fit in I guess..

Lol, mine is straight up western. Nobody here would ever guess it.

I know a Somali guy called Roman

this is the kinda name you only come across in the Bold & The Beautiful or some shit..SMH

But it's actually a very traditional Somali name: Rumaan, but with western spelling of our names, it turned into Roman by coincidence.

Heard of a Jerry,apparently,he got that name coz gaalada heard him being called jeeri by somalis.He limps.

wallaah i have 2 somali colleague's, one is called John and the other is mike

one of them is wadaad tho, i think they changed their names when come to the west.
