I have never seen a somali with a western name, other than a nickname.

I know a Somali guy called Roman :lol: this is the kinda name you only come across in the Bold & The Beautiful or some shit..SMH

But it's actually a very traditional Somali name: Rumaan, but with western spelling of our names, it turned into Roman by coincidence.

Yurub does mean Europe Abdi
Just like Baarliin means Berlin

I know barliin, istambuul, istaarliin (sterling) aren't somali, but I've been told yurub is some kind of a tree.

That's Curub and it's not a tree but the spring stem of a tree
