Hiiran administration bans Arabic writing in buisinesses

Postby GeoSeven » Fri Apr 27, 2012 7:27 am

This is good. Somali has to be used. Arabic is the language of Islam but we have our own language

Goobaha Ganacsiga B/Weyne Oo Amar Lagu Siiyo In Aay Tir Tiraan Farta Af-Carabiga

B/weyne: HN: Goobaha ganacsiga ee xiligii Shabaab lagu xardhay tabeelayaal ku qoran afka carabiga ayaa waxaa amar lagu siiyey in mudo 3-maalmood gudahood ku tir tiraan.

Amarkan oo ka soo baxay xafiiska dowlada hoose ee maamulka Hiiraan ayaa lagu sheegay in aay mamnuuc tahay in waxaan Af-somali ahayn lagu qoro tabeelayaasha goobaha ganacsiga iyo mehradaha kalaba.

Xiligii Al-shabaab ka talinayeen magaalada ayaa waxaa mamnuuc ahaa in af aan Carabi ahayn lagu qoro tabeelayaasha, taasoo dad badan ku qasabtay inay bedelaan tabeelayaashii Af-Somaliga ku qornaa.

Dhinaca kale lacag shilin Somali ah oo la sheegay inay been abuur tahay ayaa waxaa lagu arkay magaalada B/weyne lacagtaas oo aan la garanayn cida soo daabacday ayaa waxaa loo yaqaan Cad Cadka, maamulka gobolka Hiiraan ayaa iyadana amar ku bixiyay in cidii lagu arko isticmaalka lacagtaa sharci darada ah sharciga lala tiigsan doono.

So you prefer Latin-Romanised Somali instead of Arabic Somali?, Somalis have been writing in Arabic for centuries this is disgraceful, if they didn't want it thats fine but they shouldn't have banned it, Arabic is the language chosen by Allah and is the language of the Quran and is the Language we will speak in Yawmul-Qiyam.

They dont write in "Arabic Somali", they write in ARABIC. The people are Somali, not Arabs. Shops in Somalia should have Somali writing. We have to preserve our identity

Somali writing came into existance in 1970's and plus it ain't really somali it uses latin-european letters, if Somalis want a writing language write in the gadabursi script or some shit.

However this is Hiiran and i ain't from there so meh.

Neither am I from Hiran but I support it 100%. Our letters may be from Europe but the script reads Somali. I dont mind if they used the arabic letter to write in Somali but theyr always write in the Arabic language? Thats shit. Maybe 75% of Somalis dont know arabic, so why the hell should shops in our country have another language on their walls?

Bro almost 80%+ of the Somali population back home know af-carabi, they went to the madrassa when they were young and when they were learning the deen they were taught arabic, my father doesn't know how to speak arabic but if hes the text he can read it fluently, i think this is a very good policy because it will help them read the quran.

i'm calling major bs. i think it is people like you that propagate the myth that somalis speak arabic as a second language coz if one more arab talks to me in arabic.....
anyway i'd say less than 15% somalis speak arabic.

who are these people to say how merchants should advertise their wares?
typical dumb southerners, as soon as they get their hands on a gun, they`re trying to dictate.

they have the same mentality as the guys who banned watching football.
it makes them feel powerful and gives their wretched lives meaning.

personally, i couldn`t give a shit what shopkeepers paint on their walls, as long as its decent.
when are we gonna get a ban on all these cretins running around with guns trying to rule peoples lives?
