Swahili, Arabic, Amharic, I do not want to see these languages in my country goddammit. Now I do not support how it happened, it should me more democratic etc etc, but then again this should be one of the most fundamental principles of any federal state, to preserve the Somali identity.

Well I am very proud to say I agree with your libertarian doctrine that says government should have no role dictating to private enterprise what language they can use on their signs, I don't get what your confusion is between my posts.

My first post is about acknowledging difference. My second post is about how to respect that difference. For example I support strengthening Arabic in Somalia but I do not believe in at it at the expense of Somali like Shabaab does. As a result I believe the government and constitution should respect my wishes while making sure to respect BV's by making sure to protect Somali as well. The difference is they will like to limit my choice, I am for protecting all of our choices.

Why should Arabic become an educational requirement? Why should its presence be standardized and "strengthened"? Somalis are not Arab nor Arabic-speakers. Its use should be limited to choice.

Executive they forbid any arabic sign to exist, and all Arabic signs have to be removed within 3months. If it was something as simple of having Somali signs up, they could just say that without removing the arabic.

As far as I know It has nothing to do with small private shops and so on. Its the signs in the sites which mark things like the main market. This stuff Al-Shabab imposed on the people.

I never expected a Suufi to defend Al-Shabab's work in Beledweyne Just look at Argaadi Beledweyne, they even covered the Somali flag in black.

Executive it is the small shops and their centers. I don't agree with Alshabab, and I don't agree with the hiiraan aministration. This is the first of it's kind where I heard Somalis saying no to Arabic language, when they have a special place for it since it is the language of the Quran. I really see no reason for them to force people to not have arabic, like it is a big deal.
