@Elite - The comment wasn't directed at you sxb.

You still believe in Somaliweyne? C'mon son there's no such thing. The balkanisation of Somalia - one way or another - is on its way, now is the time for each tribe to secure their lands.

If we cannot even be in charge of our ancestral lands in the Jubbas then we might aswell commit mass suicide.
I've been recurrently disappointed and my hopes for somaliwayn has been shattered on countless occasions. :( But still YES, I do believe it but that belief is rapidly diminishing. If it comes to that point where balkinzation is the only option.... Look at my location>>>

Elite all am saying expecting to have as much impact as other sub clans is just not realistic for Ogaden :| if you guys have nin firfircoon/educated who is really interested in politics, you think which country is he from :| there is no "Ogaden" in Somalia just sub clans of it so its, you guys are like the skiekhal.

Ogaden had been sacraficial limb for SOmalia since memorial time, and they are still playing that role.

Who is saying Ogaden are minority in Somalia? the Ogaden in Jubbaland alone outnumbers the HG in the desert.
The sub-clan ogadens are similar to subclans of Hawiye. The Ogaden subclan of Mohamed subeer or cawlayah is similar to Habar awal, Habar jeclo too.

The thing is that the sub-tribes in Jubbaland whether Ogaden or Marehan are large enough to be their own clans, maa shaa allaah. allow dhowr

WTF green: you're hardly ever this dogmatic? :?
So then you do agree that any clan who's numerically insignificant should not meddle with somali'a politics and should only remain and watch from the sideline? What kind of philosophy is this? Besides, you're forgetting key factor here; Ogaden is twice the size of the biggest subclan in somlia if not thrice. That would mean for every 3 or 4 ogaden you have one abgaal. I don't know you came up with ogaden being like sheeikhaal but you're wrong on that too. If you allow abgaal who is, in terms of numbers,3 or 4X smaller than ogaden to assume active role in somalia's politics then what denies the same right to ogaden? I believe there are more ogadens in somalia than abgaal. It's almost as if you're saying ogadens are not somali.

Ogaden are Somali but are all Ogadens from Somalia :? you guys are stretched across three countries and you can not expect to be politically strong in all three.

Why not? Our numbers are big in all three, Ogadens are the biggest qabil in Jubaland which is an important and large region in Somalia. We should have a strong political representation in Somalia as well.

I think you've got a few things mixed up. 1. What makes a person a somali? According to you, and I am only going by what you post, a person is not considered a somali unless he or she is born in somalia? However, there's a catch to that and here it is; so if white or asian person is born in somalia, are they Somali? If you agree then your belief that somalinimo is constituted by birth is wrong. is an abgal born in kenya less abgaal to you than one, say, born in somalia? 2. You want to marginilize any clan who's numbers is not up the bar. If you do that then somalia will become a battle ground for hawiye, darood and isaaq. What about the rest of the clans then? where do they go? Do they also migrate to other countries to seek for political roles?

OAF and Asaali: please kindly leave us. This is serious matter.

Asli i would be lying if i told you i knew the numbers of each qabiil but am sure there is a reason why ogaden is not big in Somalia's politics and my best guess is being in three countries doesnt help.
