Gen Samatar "Farole has built nothing in 4 years"

Gen Samatar is saying what so many other people have been: what has Farole done in 4 years? Please don't bring up oil or anything else that was started by previous admins.

Also, Gen Samatar has stated that farole swore on the Quran to stay for a 4 year term and then seek re-election. However, despite this promise, he has broken his word. Furthermore, he mentioned the many defeats that Saracen (foreign mercenaries) have faced throughout Puntland. More importantly, questions are raised concerning where the money has gone from this group and African Oil.

One thing I will admit (which makes things difficult) is that, unlike other Puntland presidents, farole rarely leaves Garowe. This means that he is always surrounded by his supporters and we will rarely see protests.

Note: This is why certain tribes (appear ) to become president. Sadly, many are too afraid to challenge the leadership and state why they think change is needed in the state and how they can bring it. Others want to follow like sheep and continuously praise the president.

We all have our opinions and in the leaked U.S cables from wikileaks (which obviously were never meant to come out) and the U.N Monitoring group, both stated that Puntland had positive developments until farole arrived. Both were critical of him and had little negative comments about Puntland's former presidents.

They are far more neutral than any of us.

It funny you mention education because the U.S cables stated that - through their contacts - farole is trying to present himself as a "Western-educated technocrat." However it appears that he "fails to understand the egalitarian structure of Somali society."

No other Puntland leader had officials in his administration gunned down by fellow Puntlanders, like farole has. These problems were a result of him turning away from the Ismo.

Cade's leadership was poor, however, Puntlanders respected his government. More importantly, he kept his word, left on time and has not interfered with Farole.

So as much as you think that you just "know" stuff without proof. You dont.
