lol. "religious" police is a joke. they harass the poor and powerless but protect the vice of the ruling class.

i've an idea for a sketch. "religious" police have just arrested a pervert when they see a woman driving without a male. they stop and question her as for why she is driving without a male. she explains she's in an dire emergency and there was no male around to drive her. after a while they buy her explanation but let her know, while they sympathize with her, under no circumstance can they let her drive by herself without a male. so she asks them what she should do. they offer to let the pervert drive for her (in saudi it's legal for women to have non-mahram driver, you see). she, in her emergency and ignirance about the man, graciously accepts.

I too do not understand this unified hatred of a people who do not share a country with us. My only conclusion would be jealousy of their wealth - and this would apply to most of the anti-arab sentiments in here also.
Fair enough if you don't like a people but the way some go on it's like they destroyed somalia.

its not hatred of a people but a specific family/ clan and their retainers.
my experience of saudi people has been positive, you will find among them some of the best and the worst people on earth.

Saudi people deserve much better because they are generally nice people with great faith...but who are unfortunately being harassed and treated like little irresponsible kids. I'm scared in the end they will not have any more faith left in them from all this abuse.

Me personally, they have done many things I have disagreed with but their postives outweigh the negatives especially with king fahd aun. He has - by assissting the culuma financially - done heaps for the two holy cities masha'allah. I have been to Haj and cumra twice and the expansive work done to accomodate the large amounts of pilgrims is to be applauded.

#1 As gurey pointed out, what's being criticised is not the people, but the ruling families, their system of governance(autocratic monarchies), and the State-run orthodoxy that gives them religious cover. Wealth has nothing to do with it. Brueni is one of the world's richest countries and also has a monarchy....do you see them being 'hated' on?

#2 The reason the Saudi ruling family and their cleric allies are being singled out is that they claim to be the sole arbiters & interpreters of Islam and Islamic law, of what is halal and what is haram. When someone is twisting my faith so that it can serve the political interests of a Bedouin family and also fit his narrow-minded cultural dhaqan(Najdi conservatism).......then shid gets personal.

The House of Al-Saud came from Najd, the region where the Nabi said the fitna will come from.

Out of najd we seen all types of fitna.

The establishment of the Wahabi movement.
The establishment of the ties between the Saud family and the Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab family.

These 2 families still hold ties today for 200 years.

The king authority belongs to the sauds and the religion authority and the top sheikhs such as Bin Baz or Sheikh Abdal Aziz Aal Sheikh are direct grandsons of Abdul Wahab.

the fitna they made is that they revolted against the khalifa, they invaded Taif and killed muslims, they invaded the Hijaz and killed muslims.
They allied and submitted to the british and in return they promised to never re-establish the khalifa and in return britain created 'Saudi Arabia' the same britain created isreal 24 years later.

Umar bin Al-Khattab was called King of the arabs by the priest of jerusalem, he replied " Don't call me that, I am the amir of the muslims, or the caliph of the Khalifa"

Disgusting behaviour with these Kings with their wealth if divided can suffice for the WHOLE Ummah.

Anyways, after this tyranny, the caliphate will return with the grandson of the prophet re-establishing Hijazi/Hashemite rule over the arabs.

abuukar, i appreciate that you are young and are still learning but be careful what you say. There was no khalifa at that point only the ottomans who left the hijaz in a despicable state where grave worshipping and the likes was common. Also do not insult people who you have no real knowledge of sheikh muxammad bin cabdul wahhab did so much for present day saudi arabia mashallah Allah Yarxama. Today saudi arabia is free of grave worshipping and shirk associated with that.

Allah ha unxariiso shaykh bin baaz, abdul wahab and aal sheikh

Cumar Labasuul sxb adigana your one of them miya

take what the prophet said and implement it, he said the fitna and corruption of the deen will come from najd, he came across 2 stubborn men from the bani tamiim tribe the tribe of the sauds, umar bin al khattab said ya rasulalah let me behead him, the prophet said no, many more will come from him and they will be the worst of mankind.

He said they will have the best speeches and khutbas but they'll mislead many.

In my book, thats the najdis, the prophet said their books will be avaliable all over the world, truth is almost every book shelf has kitaabul tawheed

I mean the prophet certified that he is not afraid and whatever the prophet says is almost 100% guarenteed

the salafis just parade " THE UMMAH IS UPON SHIRK AND BIDA, THE MUSLIMS ARE MUSHRIKS, THEY GO TO MEDINA AND FACE THE GRAVE OF THE PROPHET"

ukhari Volume 5, Book 59 [al maghazi - the battles], Number 374:
Narrated Uqba bin Amir:

Allah's Apostle offered the funeral prayers of the martyrs of Uhud eight years after (their death), as if bidding farewell to the living and the dead, then he ascended the pulpit and said, "I am your predecessor before you, and I am a witness on you, and your promised place to meet me will be Al-Haud (i.e. the Tank) (on the Day of Resurrection), and I am (now) looking at it from this place of mine. I am not afraid that you will worship others besides Allah, but I am afraid that worldly life will tempt you and cause you to compete with each other for it." That was the last look which I cast on Allah's Apostle.

What does that mean?

it means that the prophet wasn't worried or afraid that we will make shirk.

So why do the salafis preach shirk shirk shirk everywhere we go?

Because they want to scare the ummah and make them obey them and their aim to divide the ummah from their prophet.

A few things you should know:

The Prophet is alive in his grave

Going to the grave of the prophet and talking/asking him to ask a request on one's behalf is not haram.

The Najdi's , Saudis and whatever you want to call them were prophesied by the prophet. Negatively.

What did the saudi's do, they went against Allah's order in the qur'an, they revolted against the only khalifa , and they allied and were protected by the kuffar/britain.

How ignorant of you that you must praise this nation and not turn away from it, fear allah akhi and stop looking so highly to the sauds.
Instead look highly to the prophet and his family, companions.
