Somali Funeral Brawls

Seriously, what causes the intense beefs at Somali funerals ? I have been to several in the US and at some, there has been an intense beef between the two factions of wadaads: Suufi vs. Ikhwan types. I understand if the marxum was a Suufi that his or her funeral should be overseen by their culema but all of a sudden these ikhwan types attend and try to hijack the ceremony. At my good friend's tacsi, one went into a long speech after the imam. He forced himself into the event. Can there be no civility even at a funeral ? The last one generated into a out right cursing between some hardcore Suufists and some ikhwan over the recitaton of a nashiid.

Very disturbing how the event played out. The marxum was a good man and to have his final resting place become a center of a squabble was unfair and wrong.

The lack of akhlaaq is disturbing. There's a time and place for everything and funerals is not a place.

solution is to ban all Suufis from funerals, they are grave worshipers. al-kabab has done a gr8 job of eliminating suufism in somalia
