Prime minister candidates

Postby Warsame101 » Thu Sep 20, 2012 12:47 am

So far -- I have heard there are 8 candidates who have submitted their cvs to the committee setup by the incumbent president.

1. Saaciid Faarax Garaad
2. Dr Cabdi Shire Warsame
3. Maxamed Cabdullaahi Farmaajo
4. Dr Maxamuud Sheikh Cali 'Doodishe'

The rest, I haven't caught their names though I am not quite sure whether Cabdiwaaxid Cilmi Goonjeex and Dr Bashiir Nuur Looyaan have declared their candidacy.

Interesting list; I don't know how accurate this is but apparently Farmaajo and the President had a private lunch yesterday. We have known that Hassan Sheikh was warm to Farmaajo but according to some of Farmaajo's insiders that I have spoken with the new president is really keen on renaming Farmaajo.

The accuracy of this obviously has to be seen although personally I think Hassan Sheekh will name someone different.

Strong list, imagine if those men who come running for PM and Presidential posts actually organized and helped build their people. Mareexaan kursi jeclaa.

Warsam101, also you are missing out a strong candidate and that is Murax's abti Dr Cabdiwali Sheekh Ahmed, PhD in economics and executive at Islamic Development Bank based in Saudi Arabia

I have never believed in unukaa leh. I have been a firm believer that any Somali citizen is entitled to live and prosper in any part of the Somali Republic. Even in tribal talk and rhetoric, the essence of Somalinimo is pure in my heart. :som:
Personally I think Kismaayo, Beled-Xaawo, Baardheere, Garbahareey, Luuq, Dollow, Ceel-waaq, Caabudwaaq, etc belongs to any Somali that lives there and is a citizen of the nation and a resident of the local. It may not be a widespread idea now, but in the post-transition with the rule of law and not the rule of clan gun, who is to prevent you from living there?

I am not an outsider to anywhere. Mogadishu is my capital city and Lower Shabelle, Balcad, Cadale, and Warsheikh are as well towns I have a right to claim and talk about as a Somali citizen.

Even then in a future Jubbaland, I believe the only qualifier of being a citizen of the state is to live in it, not based on clan.
Sxb waa muwaadin. Any Somali man is a muwaadin of any Somali land. In civil war times, degaan basically itnerchanges with tribe. In pre-civil war Somalia, deegaan interchanged with actual residency. What makes the Mareexaan from Caabudwaaq acceptable in Kismaayo or the Ogaadeen from Qoroxay, but not the Isaaq man from Hargeisa? Deegaanka is a code word for tribe in these times.

The Difference between me and you is that you feel like being a Politically correct person while i don't. In you heart you believe Gedo or Kismaayo must be under the Rule of your Clan but everyone else is welcome while i Feel that Banaadir has to be under my Control but i also still will welcome other Somali's. We live in a world of Clan and for now i will NEVER ACCEPT WHAT IS MINE TO BE SHARED WHILE YOU GET TO KEEP YOUR'S. The day i see a Mudulood Mayor or Governor in Hargeisa, Bossaso or Caabdwuwaaq is when i will allow a Non Mudulood to Rule Xamar
