Interesting list; I don't know how accurate this is but apparently Farmaajo and the President had a private lunch yesterday. We have known that Hassan Sheikh was warm to Farmaajo but according to some of Farmaajo's insiders that I have spoken with the new president is really keen on renaming Farmaajo.n:

If its MR I think He's most likely from reading the reports. First You have Him announce I will announce a PM 'dadka ee ku farxaan" then You hear Puntland waziir say if a PM is announced who was part of the last TFG we will stop working with the TFG along with other things. Looks like it might be leading up to this.

Farmaajo is the current personal favourite with the backing of practically majority of Reer Muqdisho. On top of that, the defeated presidential candidates have earnestly asked the new President to appoint Farmaajo as his premier.

Warsame-

It has indeed been quite strong strong, intense, and very hard to ignore. I made a topic about this on the 14th when it became apparent Mogadishu intellegentsia and civil society if they couldn't get Farmaajo elected wanted him to be re-appointed as Prime Minister
Strong Mogadishu-based lobby to try to make Farmajo PM

Postby The`Republic » Fri Sep 14, 2012 4:00 pm

My God this city must love this guy. Farmaajo was the first guy the new President met and reportedly asked him to stay in Somalia and contribute to the new peace and development. I am told by someone close to Farmaajo that even if he lost, Farmaajo had decided to stay in Somalia and build and run his Tayo party inside Somalia.

Now after Dr Mohamud Doodishe has already been given the PM post and they are just waiting for clearance from "donor" countries, and despite Farmaajo does not want to become Prime Minister, there is a strong Mogadishu-based lobby (I am talking about intellectuals and civil society leaders---like President Hassan was before being elected) that wants him nominated as PM.

We will see how this spans out.

However, given the recent suprise (i.e. rise of Xassan Sheikh Maxamuud to presidency) -- Somali politics turned in to a game of expect the unexpected. Maybe he will appoint a new face, someone we have never heard of.

Time will tell.

The Difference between me and you is that you feel like being a Politically correct person while i don't. In you heart you believe Gedo or Kismaayo must be under the Rule of your Clan but everyone else is welcome while i Feel that Banaadir has to be under my Control but i also still will welcome other Somali's. We live in a world of Clan and for now i will NEVER ACCEPT WHAT IS MINE TO BE SHARED WHILE YOU GET TO KEEP YOUR'S. The day i see a Mudulood Mayor or Governor in Hargeisa, Bossaso or Caabdwuwaaq is when i will allow a Non Mudulood to Rule Xamar
Somalida runta qaawan bay jacelhiin :russ: Ahaha...obviously the rookie president xamar un buu xukumaa..a non abgaal cannot control xamar.."xamar unukaa skaleh" oo iska cad weeye. :steviej:

forget about Darood, Isaaq and others, I just feel sorry for the tribes that have to live with you and your sick mentality, comparing Caabudwaaq, Bosaso etc to Xamar, laa ilaaha ilalaaha.

I didn't know these towns in central and nothern Somalia were as tribally diverse as Mogadishu which is a very old town, very large and the capital of Somalia.

:mindblown:

If Farmaajo, for any obscure reason, does not get the post; the three main candidates who have a reasonable chance are:

1)Dr Maxamuud Sheikh Cali 'Doodishe'
2) Dr Cabdi Shire Warsame
3) Dr Cabdiweli Sheikh Axmed

Smile -- majority of the contenders I listed are ironically part of Farmaajo's campaign. However, given the fact that the chance of Farmaajo being nominated is diminishing (too much of a threat), then we need other candidates. You cannot put all your eggs in one basket.
