Anyway after that it was widely suggested he would visit Garowe after this, however he travelled to neighbouring Hiiraan specifically Beledweyne. For this visit it was said he was paying a visit to those flood victims. But again could this be a show of thanks to those who supported him from his home region (?).
It was interesting to listen to his speech in Beledweyne as he once again emphasised the importance of security, to paraphrase: "the first, second and third priority is security, security and security.."
It is good that he has chosen to focus on the southern regions for now and I hope he continues as these are these are ones vulnerable to instability - what good will it do if he visits galguduud and those regions north of it when the regions south of it are not fully in control.
He has now covered Baay and Hiiraan, I think his next stop should be either shabeelada dhexe or shabeelada hoose (depending on the security situation). I also believe it is not safe enough to visit the jubbas (and gedo) - when Kismaayo is fully secured, including the roads leading to it and those leaving it, then Kismaayo should be a priority for Mr Smiley (
