I just love historical pictures.
I once saw a picture of around the same period (late 19century), of a troupe of Somali dancing girls in Aden.
I have been searching for that picture for years to no avail.

116 years and the trees have vanished and the only development made is a poorly paved road.

Bro, I don't think the date is accurate, there was no color photos back then, let alone in some remote place in Africa.

Bro, I don't think the date is accurate, there was no color photos back then, let alone in some remote place in Africa.
It was uploaded by the British National Museum library, on the flickr acc several photos of the nations they colonized going back to the 1890's,
plus they can edit and place the colours sxb. And berbera is and was not remote, it was a stategic hub and was a islamic mainland going back to the abbasid caliphate and the ottoman caliphate
