Farewell Dr.Paul

Postby Alphanumeric » Thu Nov 22, 2012 9:41 pm

I haven't always agreed with everything you've said, but you've put me on a path of learning that has lasted several years and will continue forever. Having being introduced to different philosophies of economics, personal liberty, foreign policy and much more, I'm thankful. Hope the best for any future endeavours.

You'll be missed and remembered. :(

There are some Libertarian principles I disagree with. I think in the end, I still wouldn't vote.

What is interesting, the Third-Party debates were left with representatives of the two ends of the political spectrum. I don't know if there's any politician that shares all of my views.

Agreed, after all let's face it, the guy is far out there for sure, but his heart is in the right place.

Yup, but had a gun been pointed to my head, his views on foreign policy, fiscal responsibility and personal liberty would win out. So long to education and possible universal health care though lol.

I wish there a Canadian party that shared my views. I've never voted. :|

The American people never supported the views of this nutcase and we are elated with his departure. An American Empire presiding over the rest of the world with the sceptre of freedom and democracy is what we want!

That's difficult to say, as I'm always learning, but here are some:

Foreign
  • - No to military intervention
    - No to covert operations
    - Removal from military alliances
    - No to illegal, immoral, and hypocritical sanctions
    - Neutral stance on warfare
    - Removal from WTO, IMF, WB
    - Critical stance on UN, propagating for true and real international laws
    - Critical stance on ICC
Domestic
  • - Prohibit foreign and corporate lobbying in government
    - Budget to get out of $600B+ debt
    - Nationalize oil & gas
    - New nuclear
    - Guarantee immediate environmental protection
    - Guarantee freedom of the Internet within the country
    - Guarantee Canadian civil rights protection from domestic governments
    - Open borders for legal immigration
    - Gold-backed currencies
    - Open the market to competitive Canadian currencies
    - Abolish the Senate
    - End drug prohibition
    - Tax "illicit" drugs
    - Remove government from marriage
    - Relaxed gun laws
    - Open and conceal carry
    - Expand military exercises and deployments into the Arctic
    - Expand military armaments, munitions, vehicles, and arms production through private Canadian D&R
    - Encourage expansion of Canadian space program
    - Regulate monopolization of market
    - Reform agricultural policy while listening to farmers, removal from current EU-pushed trade agreements
    - Corporate tax increase
    - Tax reform

And if all of the above happens:
    - Free true universal health care with private sector option
    - Free postsecondary education option
    - 2.5 yrs military service for subsidized postsecondary grads, given true neutrality
    - PR stamp for international students in 3+ years program, given military service post-graduation, citizenship post-service
    - Free daycare services
    - Reform the welfare state
    - Remove the Crown from Head of State, Canada should own Canada
    - Lastly, get that old hag off our money, put Trudeau on the 20 8-)
I dunno, there's probably more.

A lot of what you said is wrong.
