yeah i took 3 years of intensive 3arabi, learned a little 3amiyah masriyaWell even if you can read modern Arabic , it will be virtually impossible for you without years and years of reading to understand classical Arabic language , like in old books and manuscripts , so if you just wants to read modern books and papers , i guess you can do it in 2 years, classic Arabic is different story.

u wanna get hooked up or not waraa?Xplaya-
I am not trying be as literate in Arabic as I am in Somali. I can read and write, what I want is to learn to speak. Pretty much. I think expansion will occur overtime but the more immersed I get, the more I will find myself to have progressed. I am not expecting miracles so soon.

The thing with Masri is that no one takes your black ass seriously if you speak it with all the kidas, and g sounds, and all thatI hacked a Michel Thomas arabic course, its good but i hate it because its masri,
Niigu= we come? in masri?, that doesn't sound much arabic to me, i want to learn fus7a standard arabic, or atleast the one spoken in this program.
Wallahi masri gives me a headache, simply because of these things, they say " Ismaak/ik eeh?" means what is your name, where did the Maa go?
what dialect is this?
