Shami or Khaleeji

if you want an easier time, go for Masri

U know how somalis have an accent when speaking english, do the arabic speakers also have an accent?
of course they do. almost all somali parents do including my dad. the only time my dad doesnt have accent is when he reads quran.lol

mix of fusha,adani,egyptian and khaliji.lol

but like everyone else i can put on an egyptian accent, or syrian/lebanese or fully khaliiji depending on circumstances.

most so alis , speak the accent the arab country they lived. older generation , mix and they all over the places. except religious people, who found sophisticating speaking mederate arabic.

How is speaking the Egyptian dialect considered in Khaleej? Egypt is the biggest country in Middle East and media powerhouse. I'm guessing this translates to influence?

well, every one understands egyptian, cause teachers, doctors, workers all they were first educators. but none egyptian speaks egyptian is little emusing.

i meant little funny. every one understands and probably speaks but none egyptian speaks egyptian is little bit odd. but that was few years ago. now you find so ali speaks, all kind of dialogs. wa iska aadi.

but hyper somalis that livedin egypt can only speak with an egyptian accent.
its just too strong, once you go egyptian you dont go back. :lol:

wallahi the funniest thing for me was seeing a somali guy i know speaking masri.
its so funny, all of us can put it on, but he can only speak in a masri accent all the time..

and whats even funnier is that his english accent is masri.
he sounds like an egyptian fresh off the boat, and this is after 10 years in the US, and 5 years in the US army.

gurey, that is later years when somalis became qahooti every where. before was only khaliji and yemani, iraqi . masri is just normal now. it's more funny simali lebanesse and somali syrians.

ana 3esht bayn al-zalamat 8 months, in Dimashq , wallah naas tayibeen we 7ilween, but i couldn't master their dialect , they use to laugh at me everytime i speak :lol:
