Number 2 column proceeded down the Juba River as far as Malkaadi, halting on the 22nd to await the arrival of the inland party. Later news reached the camp that No 1 column had captured a large quantity of enemy camels, but was being attacked by Auhilan in force. The Marehan Levies had bolted, but the KAR troops were holding firm.
