Puntland’s ministry of education on Saturday said that the region’s curriculum will soon introduce democracy as a learning subject in schools.
Mohamed Abdiwahab, education ministry permanent secretary, said that it is important to teach young people about democracy and peace.
On Saturday, a new teachers’ guide book for democracy, peace and good governance was launched in Garowe, the Puntland capital.
The book was commissioned by Puntland’s Research and Development Agency in partnership with Inter Peace.
Puntland authority has recently adopted a multiparty system, moving away from the clan based power sharing.

Hey you Gantaal are you Muslim ? Then surely you'd come to your senses. Muslims stick TOGETHER - in times of starvation and destitution and in prosperous and flourishing times.Do me a favor stay out of Somalia.
