ElfRuler you are nothing but a confused self contradictory ignorant you have humiliated yourself, in the beginning you were claiming the 1960s government was the role model and destroyed by siyad barre yet I have proved with foreign sources that the 1960s was a fake democracy full of tribalism, election cheating, one single party was making up 90% of the parliment members and not to talk about the huge corruption. I have with foreign sources proven siyad barres achievements and yet you were ignoring it I have proven that the anti-siad barre rebels only wanted power and killings with foreign sources

We shouldn`t dignify the miscreants with a response.
Most Somalis accept life was far better under the former regime.

The era of the moryaans is what replaced the last real Somali Govt. They lasted for almost as long as the regime it overthrew.
We can see their legacy all over Somalia.

Muhammed Siyad Barre (aun) I salute you. :som:

Tanker....a job well done

Somalis as usual were too ill-informed to dispose of the regime that would of protected their families, just 20 years later from a Western proxy of African beasts thirsting on Somali lives.
Millions of lives lost, that sadly occurred as a result of no order that has again doomed the Somali people to famine, mutilation and shame - Something that was rare during Barres time.

Truly the ultimate humiliation. And all we have to show for it are incompetent leaders who can not even control a capital and the gaalo aftermath balkainsation of somalia. (Pure Tribal states - P,S,Jland etc)

Let me make this point - Barres Somalia was and is superior than those who opposed him could create.
Somalis are Tribal-like and need to be subdued just like Russians, Chinese etc - And look where they are superpowers.
This is the reality. We are not Indians.

However Consequently had they deposed him swiftly then they would of been heroes however their failures created the Somalia we have today.

Image

Somalia has regressed - Khat, Qab+ill, and the worst of them all dependence on foriegn nations and other Somalias - Aid and remittance !!! Something that Barre opposed.
Other dictators have ruled with a iron fist and look now they are all now admired. I think you can a few. (Mao, Khan etc)

(Why is Washington, Moscow London etc so powerful and successful ? 1 word = Order (and imperialism but thats beside the point)
If you really think London, Moscow etc are so free where social exclusion is non-existent (as was rife in Barres regime but more overtly done - MOD) just try and associate with the real elite above the insignificant Putin obama etc.
Chances are you have no idea who they are or where they are....So tell me which is worse Barres regime or the abyss of Western politics ?
Nonetheless that said at least Russian and British children are not doomed to death from invaders that are all their neighbors - Something Barre did not stand for and would not.
)

Here is a CIA report from the same time, exact day as the 1969 Coup. Read what the C.I.A was writing about Somalis and some people like to revise history today and cry and said "oh Siad Barre baa isku keen diray, Siad Barre armed others against each other, we were peachy united people" blah blah blah

if siyad barre AUN did not make the coup and save somalia the civil war will already had happend in 1969.......

At times dictatorship is better than 'freedom', Somalia is the perfect example of this.
Go and tell your ONLF rebels to put the gun down. You hypocrite.
Are you comparing the struggle between Somalis and their arch enemy Ethiopia to a fight between the same people? :snoop:

If the rebellion was somewhat organised it would be understandable but as we have unfortunately witnessed it turned into a tribal horror fest. The end result of Somalia turning into a failed state with a large proportion of the population starving or relying on diaspora/foreign aid speaks for itself.
