I'm not a fan of either pic tbh.

We're in dire need of a cultural revolution.
What does your idea of a cultural revolution entail?
this is much better for the somali naago Wallahi

The historical context with which those women lived explains quite well why such dressing were possible.

For one, the entire world were drowning in European cultural domination, so a poor african country just getting it's independence, dressing like your conqueres in the hope of catching up to them was one way of reacting to the situation.

You can see the Italian teachers with the students.

p.s. any one who claims to be a muslim but is against Hijaab is not a muslim. This includes the Dameer Yalaxoow.
Very insightful.

I'm a Muslim that doesn't want to see half of our population in mobile tents secluded from society and unable to contribute economically, and I sure as hell don't want to see future generations of Somali boys f-king each other in boarding schools out of pent up sexual frustration.

niqab is mustahhab

The Prophet's wives lived in medieval Arabia and wore contemporary Arab dress. We live in 21st century Somalia, and will wear contemporary Somali dress bi idnillahi kareem.

btw I'm a sexy motherfucker myself, so if I don't cover up do I run the risk of being ravaged by hordes of women I've "provoked"?

How is it insulting the deen if I point out the differences in dress between two places separated by 14 centuries and hundreds of miles?

In my Somalia, people can wear whatever the hell they want, mobile tents included.

Yes. They can wear what they want as long as it does not violate islam
Islam is a way of life - not arab culture

UAE style is probably the best, some modesty but if you don't want to wear it then no one will force you.

Women must abide by islamic dress code - kuffar or muslimeen

I'm more concerned about people killing each other over wells and dusty tuulos than I am of enforcing trivial modesty laws.

Somalia's future is secular. If you don't like it, stay in Saudi Arabia where the highlight of your day is catching a glimpse of a woman's ankle and you run the risk of getting buttfucked by a gang of repressed Arabs.

ksa is not fully islamic

Allah says "اف حكم الجاهلية يبغون و من احسن من الله حكما لقوم يوقنون"
And allah says "و من لم يحكم بما انزل الله فألاإك هم كافرون" (and whosoever doesnt rule by what Allah revealed, then those are kafiruun).
Allah says in another Ayah "فاحكم بينهم بما أنزل الله فيه" So judve between them BY WHAT ALLAH HAS REVEALED

democracy is kufr
If you support it then your iman is in serious jeopardy
if you want secularism go to a kuffar country
Dont bring that disease to the muslims
Now stay in you're lovely secularist kuffar land and leave the land of the muslims alone and keep them away from your disease

is it possible arabs dressed like the image provided by waryaahoy before Prophet Mohamed (PBUH)? If that's the case then it is their (arab) tradition.
