Update on the Nairobi Meeting

Postby SultanOrder » Sun Mar 17, 2013 11:29 am

A huge rift opened up between Ogaden and Marexaan officials based in K-city, after government troops made their way to K-city. Origianally based in Ceel-waaq, in a span of a day, transversed through enemy land and safely arrived in K-city. The rift caused by their arrival, threatening to destabilize K-city was quickly dealt with by calling in the stakeholders to Nairobi. After two days of meetings, some points were agreed on.

According to one site:
1:in la xoreeyo dhammaan deegaannada gobollada Jubbooyinka ee haatan gacanta Al Shabaab ku jira.
2: In isku dhafo dhamaanba ciidamada Jubboyinka jooga oo aysan noqon hal dhinac oo keliya, lana kala beddelo ciidamada qaar oo qaarba meel la geeyo.
3: In la dhiso maamulka Jubbaland iyadoo ay u dhan yihii dadka gobolladaas wada dega
4: In la doorka ay ku leedahay ay ka qaadato maamul u sameynta Jubbooyinka dowladda Federaalka Soomaaliya.
5:in la hagaajiyo xiriirka dhanka siyaasadda ee Jubbooyinka.
6. In si siman dhaqaalaha ka soo baxo dekedda Kismaayo loo wadaago oo aanay qaadan cid gooni ah,.
Waxaa jiray qodob kale oo la isku mari waayey oo markii dambe dhinacyada shirka ka qeybgalay ay ka tanaasuleen, kaasoo ahaa in tababar loo diro ciidamada ururka Raaskaambooni
The important points being, 2, and 6, and the last but unagreed 7.

There can be no obstacle to the free movement of Government troops in Jubbaland, whether to K-city or any other area. A new negotiation of the revenue generated from the port of Kismaayo. And the last point that was not agreed to was that Ras Kambooni troops be taken for further training, i.e. moved from K-city. This last point highlights the tension between the two sides, yet to be resolved.

Nairobi is a blessed place. Kenya's been going through difficult times for a minute now. I hope they'll be safe.

Col Warfaa, one of the officials at the meeting speaks about the Nairobi Meeting.

Speaking directly on the Kismaayo issue, he says that they have every right to move troops, according to their military strategy, and security. He even says that there is a possibility that more troops could be sent, depending on circumstances.

Col Warfaa is an outspoken critic of Ras Kambooni, which he considers an untrained, unproffesional, clan force.

So Ras Kamboni are fighting with Al Shabaab, while the "Govt forces" are cooperating with them.
That won`t wash....no way Jose.
