How can one contact these people?? I have a cousin who has been gone since 2007 no one knows if he is alive or dead. His family thinks he was one of the youth who went from Somaliland to Mogadishu to take part in the maxaakiim war- or whatever they were called.

That's so sad. But this is slightly different considering your family is settled and he knows where they live.

back to the video,

I don't know how any Somali can go missing. Maybe they are from minority clans? I don't know.

Simple...go to bbcsomali.com...then look at the "baafin" section, it'll give you how you send your complete info...Good luck sister!

You right he could easily contact them if he was well and alive, that's why I think the chance of him being alive is very slim- but as you know a mother never loses hope. His family just has to know what happened to him to move on.

You're right unless someone confirms the death one will forever hold out hope that their loved ones are alive somewhere.

Why should she be the one to contact you :? you make it sound as if he was not her child.
