What a sad and strange story. It is similar to a year and half ago when the Ethiopians removed the Ogaden businessman fom Caabudwaaq whom they said fled there after financing ONLF.

My mother just spoke to Caabudwaaq. He wasn't a doctor but a Pharmacist in Dabcasar Bakhaar and the most trusted pharmacist in Caabudwaaq. The Liyuu Police that tricked, took, and killed him included both Ogaden and paid jirri Marehan. The Pharmacist fled JigJiga for safety and has been in Caabudwaaq for about 4 years. He married reer Nuur and they vowed to retaliate against the Marehan who were involved.

The Liyuu Police paid jiri Marehan to ask the pharmacist to come see their sick children in need of medicine. When the Pharmacist went with them, they handed him over to Liyu Police acoss the border. The entire town is in shock blaming themselves for not preventing this.

You story is not complete. First of all, this man was a real doctor who graduated from one of the best medical schools in Ethiopia and then later on completed more medical trainings in abroad. He used to work in Wardheer for Red Cross and then got transferred to Caabud-Waaq; while Caabud-Waaq, he also worked in private clinics and pharmacies to make extra money. Ethiopia or no one else had any grudges against this doctor. They, Liyuu Police and Ethiopian forces, come and go as they please and he has always been there.

Like I said, my mother spok to Caabudwaaq while I was eating lunch and overheard the conversation. That is what was said and including that was a "farmashiyeeri" (pharmacist), was wanted by Liyuu Police, and that Marehan jiri were used to trick and transport him into Ethiopia.
