Hay-fever

Chewing the tops of comb honey stimulates the immune system due to minute amounts of pollen. During the season chew for 20 minutes a teaspoon of bee capping (tops) five to six times per day. Highly effective and useful for asthma sufferers as well.

Baby's Bottle

Four teaspoons of honey to a baby's bottle of water is an excellent pacifier and multivitamin additive. If baby's motions are too liquid then reduce by half a teaspoon; if too solid increase by half a teaspoon.

Teething

Honey rubbed on a baby's gums is a mild sedative and anaesthetic.

Osteoporosis

English research has shown that a teaspoon of honey per day aids calcium utilization and prevents osteoporosis. Essential from age 50 onwards.

Supporting your Body's Natural Healing Process

SummerGlow UMF16+ Manuka Honey is one of nature's most useful aids to natural healing. It powerfully supports the body's natural healing process:

Supporting digestive health

Soothing throats
Enhancing general health & energy
Colloidal Silver Cream made with UMF16+ Manuka Honey nourishes and rejuvenates dry, chafed, sensitive skin (more)

For centuries honey has been recognised as having beneficial health-giving qualities due largely to an enzyme activity.
Scientific research at New Zealand's University of Waikato discovered that some strains of New Zealand manuka honey contains an extraordinary, naturally present, very stable and more powerful unique antibacterial activity not found in any other variety of honey.
This unique antibacterial activity is a non-peroxide activity and comes from the nectar of the manuka flower - it is quite distinct from the enzyme/peroxide activity that is common to most honeys.
This special non-peroxide antibacterial activity sets Manuka Honey apart as one of nature's true wonderfoods.
But this special unique non-peroxide activity is not in all manuka honey.

What is Manuka Honey?

Manuka honey comes from the crisp white flowers of the manuka bush, a native bush which grows in remote unspoilt areas of New Zealand.
The manuka honey from only a few of these areas contains the special unique non-peroxide antibacterial activity

Migraine

Use a dessertspoon of honey dissolved in half a glass of warm water. Sip at start of attack. If necessary repeat in 20 minutes. Always effective (so tip goes) as migraine is stress related.

Conjunctivitis (pus in the eye)

Honey dissolved in equal quantity of warm water. Apply, when cooled, as lotion or eye bath. Cough mixture

6 oz. liquid honey

2 oz. glycerin

Juice of 2 lemons

Mix well. Bottle and cork firmly. Use as required.

Important:

Keep honey in first aid cupboard for emergency use,

and another in the kitchen cupboard

Allah has said: "There comes forth, from within [the bee], a beverage of many colors in which there is a healing for you." Mixed with hot water, and taken in several small doses, honey is considered the best remedy for diarrhea.

The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) once said, "By Him in whose hand is my soul, eat honey. For there is no house in which honey is kept for which the angels will not ask for mercy. If a person eats honey, a thousand remedies enter his stomach and a million diseases will come out. If a man dies and honey is found within him, fire will not touch his body [i.e., he will be immune from the burning of hell]." The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) himself used to drink a glass of honey and water each morning on an empty stomach.

Honey is considered the food of foods, the drink of drinks, and the drug of drugs. It is used for creating appetite, strengthening the stomach, and eliminating phlegm; as a meat preservative, hair conditioner, eye salve, and mouthwash. The best honey is that produced in the spring; the second best is that of summer, and the least quality is produced in winter.
