Asalamu’alaykum to all the Somali people and to all the free media. We are speaking on behalf of the Madaluug clan, more specifically of those who inhabit the south of Somalia. We would like to inform you, as the people of Somalia, about the decision we made collectively, in the regions of the lower Juba land and middle Juba land. During discussions and meetings, regarding the situation concerning the regions that we live in, we came to a collective decision to vote as ‘The President of the Regions’ that we reside in, Mr Engineer Abdirahman Ugaas Hassan Ugaas Dhicis, who is an educated man and equally an inhabitant of the regions. Moreover, we believe he is the man that can save our nation in our regions, and help us rise from the precarious situation that we are in. Nevertheless, we pray to our Lord that he fulfils the responsibility we have chosen him for (Engineer Abdirahman Ugaas Hassan Ugaas Dhicis). We are convinced that he is a man who can succeed, thrive and work to the best of his ability in this role. We are convinced that he will bring justice for all people who live in these regions, regardless of their clan. Furthermore, as a name to unify the regions of the Juba lands (lower Juba land and middle Juba land) we have decided to name it: COAST LAND STATE. Therefore, we would now like to inform all the existing regions to welcome this new established region. We also look forward to neighboring countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti to welcome them, likewise.
