Yes daarood voted for Hassan but why did they vote for unknown guy did they knew hasssan no one knew hassan he was a surprise
But i think he is good for Hawiye Merehaan and DM those 3 are united, Majerteeen and Ogaden are preparing to have their state while the Hawiyes are opposed to a southern state.And will do everything to block it. Hence why hassan surrounds him self with his closest kin. But i wonder if sharif was president how he would handled the situation.

Remember Sharif never had the opportunities Xasan Sheekh walked into. In looking back his policies, I have to admit that he would have been much better than this destructive president. Shariif has a close-nit group of advisers from all Somali clans; the Isaaq defence minister, Xalane the former OG finance minister to name a few. He was always surrounded by people from all Somali clans that looked like the real government.

Shariif also maintained somewhat decent relationship with Ethiopia and Kenya and was supporter of the Raskanboni-led initiative. It wasn't until he clashed with Gaandhi that objected the Isiolo project. He also has a good relationship with Puntland and Somaliland.

Barre was given 2 decades of uninterrupted rule thanks to Hawiye support and the support ended only after he resorted to the use of violence.
