Al Shabab moving their Amno to and from cities, and parading their military openly without Western intervention will raise an eyebrow. Something fishy is going on which boggles my mind. :?

This seems to me the usual Somali conspiracy theories but one thing we should all be aware of is the complexity of this world we live in.
Taking things at face value and assuming that the west always acts in a moral way and they do not harm other peoples and other nations is to ignore history and to live in a world of fantasy. Nations have interests and if the interest of powerful nations conflict with the weak ones, history showed us they do exploit if they can.
If we assume there is some sort of negative western intervention in Somaia that is causing it's continued instability, one should ask what is in it for the west to have unstable Somalia? what are they benefiting from it?
It can not be natural resources, that out of the question because western companies never had any problem with any Somalia government when it comes to investment deals and accessing the natural resources of the country.
Does strong and nationalistic Somalia naturally upsets a geopolitical goal for the west? It might! it might tilt the power balance of East Africa in a way that is not desirable for powerful western countries. It might lead to a greater instability in the whole region which might not be in the interest of anybody and for that reason keeping it at war with itself is the lesser of the two evils.
Or may be no one intends any harm for Somalia but its people are so backward and its leaders are so inept they are unable to come up with any ideas to save itself and to live peacefully with the rest of the world and they are as usual blaming their failure to others!!
walal does it upset the arab gulf if somalia starts pumbing oil? i believe this would upset them and they would try and stop it if they can. i dont think they would think twice about arming al shabab to attack sites and ports where the oil is leaving from. am i being paranoid or could this happen? after all somalia is open for everyone with sinister intentions.
