Yes sure there is xabashi political influence , and they have some leverage but there are no xabashis in control nor are there xabashis their. They dont control anything in reality. The xabashis are overrated there are more xabashis in Somalia than any where else. Aslong as xabashis stay in their country we are very happy and we deal with them and have relations with them. This is normal aslong as Somaliland is not recognized by the IC Somaliland will use Ethiopia's diplomatic channels to address the world. I have no issues with Ethiopia we have security arrangements with them. And trade relations their political influence is not as huge as it was during the rayaale regime. The Siilaanyo regime made sure and put Ethiopia a few times in her place. When it thought their Intelligence officers can freely roam in Somaliland a new security cooperation deal was signed During rayaale regime Somaliland intelligence and Ethiopian intelligence could cross the 2 countries. Siilaanyo put to halt their preivious dealings with rayaale. But nothing is as worse as Somalia the xabashis has Somalia on her knees. With close to 2500 troops it has 20 times as much leverage on Somalia than that it has in Somaliland.Puntland the xabashis have also influance but they use the sfg as a national shield so the influance of xabashis in Puntland is minimum there are no trade deals between Puntland and Ethiopia. The only thing Xabashis want from Puntland is that Their Darood ogaden cousins cant find safe heaven in puntland.
