Col. Ali Aadan Xamud was asked about kenyan military involvement in the current skirmishes, an allegation that has been circulating in the Somali media with reports of shelling
he responded;

-Kenyan AMISOM role is to create an environment for talks to take place
-Condemns the recent fighting in Kismaayo
-Denies Kenyan forces taking sides in Kismaayo
-Says Kenyan AMISOM is treating the wounded from both sides

Below is a video from Somali channel from a press conference held in kismaayo by Jubalaand admin.

Tallo, the government has spoken, and it is the end for Kenya. If the government said in public that Kenya picked sides between a local dispute between clans, arrested the government troops, that they shelled civilian areas and military bases with artillery, and that they have violated the mandate it is the end for them. The government is now committed to removing them from the situation.

Listen to the press conference by the minister ku xigeen of the media ministry. They said that they want amisom comprised of troops from nations other than Kenya, and they want a replacement of the commander of sector 2 to be other than a national from Kenya.

PO,

Adeer, I am much older than you and have seen it all. A more forceful statement could have been issued by the PM or a Minister. Instead Saacid and Garguurte are AWOL. This is the moment for Saacid to step up along with Garguurte. If they remain mum or strike a deal with Madoobe, then they are goners.

AW word is that PM wrote a letter to AU to change Kenya out of Amisom. But more word will be said after the delegation is sent to Kismaayo, to find out the cause of the fighting, to ascertain whether bililiqo is going on, and to get evidence to bring their case to the International bodies involved.

AW this is not a surprise to anyone, Kenya and Sfg have been at odds over the Jubbas, and this is the first time they have come out in the open to clearly say that they chose sides, and bombed civlians, this is also the first time they have asked openly to remove kenyan leadership of sector 2.

Barre came to a peaceful city where an administration was working, he defied them and both him and his little thug friends thought they can be trigger happy creating a shooting everyday somewhere. They had it coming and were thrashed again, this guy Barre should count his blessings and retire.The Government involvement again is clear, so sinister.

Change AMISOM-Kenya( any side who receives a thrashing from RSK would claim Kenya sided), do it. It really doesn't change nothing, Barre was outmaneuvered and outgunned by RSK. So many chances were given to the spoilers, Barre was that annoying fly hovering around waiting to get attention.How did he think he would win, with RSK held territory stretching hundreds of kilometers before he reaches a safe zone in Gedo. His only objective was to create chaos on behalf of his employers but his thoughtless plans peaked prematurely.
