^^ he wasn't charged frist degree murder, so he wasn't facing death penalty at all.
they charged him 2 degree murder, if he convicted he will be behind bars for rest of his life, or most of it, now that seems unlikely, the state doesn't have strong case, and most of evidence pointed out that martin was beating Zimmerman up before he was shot, now there is no way we can know who was the aggressor, but what we know is that Zimmerman approach him while the 911 operator told him not to, did he profile him? yes he did, as one of the lead detective testified, so Zimmerman was police wanna be, he profile martin and approach him, martin beat him up then Zimmerman shot him, there is no way Zimmerman will just walk out free, unless these white jury acquit him because of his rice, after prosecution rest their case yesterday, the defense requested acquittal while they argued prosecution didn't proved their case, the judge denied their request, and said the state has presented sufficient evidence, both direct and circumstantial, so that means they have case but its enough for second degree murder? I don't thin so, this is what I think will happen, jury will find him guilty manslaughter.
