Hmm I dont know what to think of this, being an avid supporter of somaliland independence, I have to say I have rather mixed feelings about this. Is it a victory for mogadishu or for Hargeisa. Very hard to tell..too much bullshit in the air..with puntland being so economically and politically weak due to the transition thats in progress its not in our best interest for somaliland to be integrated into the federalism in this particular time. ..not that I would care but because of our transition, somaliland would have a great advantage...

NEVERTHELESS, congratulations I rather have an office in Hargeisa then in Mogadishu. ..afterall we always have our representatives everywhere..or did u guys think puntland can be sidelined just like tht..we dont let go of scholarships gained from uganda what makes u think
Puntland isnt part of the party..
Hmmm, what does Puntland have to do with this?

Btw, how is 'Adeer' Faroole doing for you guys? :)
Puntland has a lot to do with, its puntland somaliland has border issues with not mogadishu. Afterall peace should be priority over war.. I support sharing of the national institutions and welcome this gesture.

Adeer farooles is doing good making sure jubalands gets sufficient internal and external support. .however at home he is not exactly Justin Bieber to put it mildly.

But we reer puntland besides the local population (pointing finger towards mudug) being heavily well armed I believe we have come long way from our mexican stand off days...come january 2014 a new dawn wile arise, hopefully with young ambitious leader...yes gaas I sm talking to u..

In my opinion, Farole has brought a lot of 'unwanted' attention to Puntland. Before, people had a lot of respect for Puntland, because of his involvement almost everyone has a negative view about Puntland. The Jubbaland thing started as soon as Sheikh Hassan won the election, and it never came up when GAAS or even Cabdulahi Yusuf was in office. So why all of a sudden? Because Farole wanted to be seen as a big shot and got himself involved in something that didnt' concern him.

O'well, either keep him or get rid of him. But the damage has been done already. People are now going to look with an extra eye if there is anyone from Puntland who wants to get elected in Somalia. :)

Sometimes it's best to remain low key and not bring too much attention to yourself.

Khalid

It doesn't say somaliland to control its airspace but rather sharing somaliland to control with in both sides. Doesn't this mean FSG
Controlling with the somaliland airpace?

1. Agreed to the return of the air traffic management from the UN and decided to establish a joint control body that is based in Hargeisa to lead the air traffic control of both sides. It is also agreed that this body will propose a mechanism for equitable revenue-sharing

it means simply they are jointly managing the Somali airspace Somaliland airspace and Somalia airspace under one office in hargeisa SFG would bring in 3 guys Somaliland govt would bring in 3 guys and together they would share the revenues.
I see, looks like interim solution.
What is amazing about the mogadisho-hargeysa talks, is that its so very professional and buuq la aan and there is a trust. It shows that they can reach a solution whatever its.

Horta its true faroole has created a lion image of puntland which makes other tribes slightly sceptical of us. In the long run it aint a very good image for seductive games such as running for elections..gladly we mjs welcome it and I am sure harti and leelkase would welcome our absence of the mayhem called federal government.

In regards of jubaland walaal I dont know where u got this misinformation from but jubaland has been a foetus for over a decade..I understand its an ugly description but so is her political location... the crackdown on jubaland officially started a year and half ago with kenyan army support needed to get alshabaab out of kismaayo. It just so happened tht it coincided with the sheikh hassans coming..it could have easily been a darood president..and nothing would have changed..

We as puntland dont really care what others think..seriously have you ever listened to any darood leader talking.. only russians match us in terms of chauvinism. ..bahashu sanka bay naga saarantahay...dadkana waan ku hindhisnaa..esh calaa

HMm I still dont know, see had u been offered somaliland skies..it would have been a step in the right direction laakiin I cant get the sour taste of u guys being played just like any other country relocating some of its institutions to another city out of my mouth...I dont know... wake up and smell the coffee...it isnt in the benefits of england nor turkey to help you towards independence. .

So far the pro somalia is winning according to my analysis. ..

Somaliland and puntland should have been allies years ago with no border issues..with faroole being half isaaq. A somali territory of puntlands significance declaring recognising isaaq self rule would have made serious headlines
