Somali Galbeed aka The Somali region

Postby STARKAST » Sat Sep 28, 2013 10:53 am

Occupied Lands and Occupied Cities.
No love shown in what we onced called our lands.
Lands that may or not be ours today

Why isn't there a multi-clan initiative to bring back what is ours. Also has the Ogaden and their efforts tainted Somali desires to fight for their (all clans )land.
Or is this just a lost hope doomed in eternal shame.

I referred to the area as "Somali Galbeed" in front of some OGs once, they reprimanded me and insisted it be referred to as Ogadenia.

I was like good luck liberating it with that mindset

Ogs are not known for diplomacy a trait shared by others.

As many already know the Haile selassie et al administration renamed the region to its present name of the Ogaden and then the Ogaden themselves invented puns like Ogaadeeniya et al not knowing they themselves were carrying out the habesha's intention to limit the emotional attachment to this Somali region by other Clans/Somalis critically. I always educate these innocent souls of their ignorance.

Og's cant liberate their land on their own. You have abdi iley and poliska liyo that are somali who will stand and fight b4 the ethios. I think they have to change they atitude in promoting their cause. When you name it after your tribe people will feel its a tribal cause and therefor not their problem.

A liberated Ogaden will make way for other causes and affect the security of Somalia... :|

Firstly name is Somali galbeed not Ogaden. Secondly 90% of all Somalis in the region support a independent Somali region.
Those last 10% are firstly and foremost either agents for other ethic groups and thus paid or either lost souls. The other half are directly involved in business with the other stakeholders in Ethiopia and benefit from the stability.

Also why is this Image man so obsessed with territories nothing to do with him and pays little notice to swathes of land owned by his kin but not under Somalia's control. Maybe his presidency and stability relies on looking the other way ?

Hydro why would liberating somaliyada galbeed affect the security of somaliyo? Its all about how liberating s galbeed is defined b4 the war. If its defined as saying once liberated it will join somaliyo then it will be viewed as a nationalistic cause. However if its defined as a breaking away from ethio and creating a new state then it can cause copycat movements in somalia. Is this what you mean

starkast even if 90%of somalida support independence for them. What kind if support are you talking about. Support by mouth or by joining the efforts once it kicks off? Whats needed here is not support by mouth.

A free Ogaden will give way to other causes such as Oromia and Gambella etc... all these factions existing will make the horn of Africa a dangerous place to be...

What happens to other tribes is none of our business as a long as we have somaliyo and somaliyada galbeed as 1. Infact it makes us stronger and ethiopia weaker.

Lol, it's not in the interest of all Somalis for a free Ogaden.
