Actually it was Bonnie Blue Flag flown by the Confederacy, 1800s. Patriotic Texans still fly it to this day.

Firstly its a different color. Shades of colors mean allot, if you knew anything you'd know that.
Secondaly the flag makes great sense in Somali context.

UN Colour Blue - UN trusteeship
Xidiga - 5 pointed star of all the regions where the colonial forces systematically cut up the Somali people.
Thirdly there are many flags who borrow designs so if he did borrow there would be nothing wrong with that however in this case its quite likely he didn't.

Also that Amhara general avatar is annoying.

Yeah, Somalis love borrowing other people's flags for some reason. The Somaliland flag is an almost complete ripoff of Gambella Kilil in Ethiopia for example.

I'm neither Somali or Ethiopian and I think Ethiopia is way better than Somalia and would prefer to be from there.

Wrong. It is actually the other way round. Somaliland flag existed in the 80s, while Gambela region adminstration was created in 1991 - 1992.

beenta maxaa kugu kalifay, Somaliland didn't have the Gambella flag until 1996. Before that it used this white thing with a green center.

This was the SNM flag, it was later remodeled a little bit. It existed way before Gambella. Only the shaahada was moved up and a black star
installed in the middle,with the colors green and red switched. Do you think a Ethiopian knows my land better than me?
