i was one of the first to support the rebels, even before things got heated.
assads regime is a stifiling dictatorship that willl bring no progress to the arab world.
even a fake democracy under the control of western financial interests is better than asaads regime because you can escape from their clutches with little violence and loss of life. The only way to bring down an arab regime is through tahriir square mass revolt, or foriegn funded, instigated and aided armed rebellion like libya.

When the axis of evil, the shaytans viceregents on earth, the house of saud and the zionists started funnelling brain dead terrorists under many brand names, i felt uncomfortable being on the same side as the devil.

For the saudis it is about control, they fear any independent arab state they have a lingering fear of arab nationalism,
they helped destroy arab nationalism and syria was a holdout.
Saudia fears and independent muslim country more, this is the main reason for anti -iran hysteria.
another reason is that 30% of syrians belong to tribes that are cross border, and have sub clans in saudia.

for the qataris it is more about money, securing their financial future,
there is a proposed gas pipeling through syria that they want, and they allied with the muslim brotherhood , because being a small family run business, they do not fear muslim brotherhood destabalization.
The UAE and Saudia are bigger and more developed and they have Muslim brotherhood underground, there is an ongoing court case in the UAE right now with 80 Muslimbrothers .

for isreal i dont see why they want assad gone, is he really that much trouble,
i think he makes good nieghbour, better the devil you know.

maybe they want a failed state syria under alqaeda so they can invade and annex the fertile druze lands bordering the golan,
and securing water supply,
without desalination plants like the gulf countries and nuclear reactors isreal will run out of water in 20 years.

things could not be more great for Israel

Iraq once the strong arab nationalist arab republic is destroyed and in civil war

Egypt will not come back in the next 30 years and the israeli friendly army leadership is controlling the country right now

assad has been good for Israel since 1973 because he kept stability at the borders and when the syrian islamists supported by turkey and saudia rebelled the israelis were happy now the islamist radicals is fighting with the syrian army and weaken syria, a weak destroyed syria is in Israel's interest.... and many druze in the golan has now israeli citizenship perfect....

but fishing in troubled water is dangerous, who knows what could come out of a somalia anlogue syria,
decades of war could lead to movement that is competent , intelligent and lethal.
Right now brain dead islamist fighters are dropping like flies, but their is a steady stream of supply thousands are entering syria daily.
soon if they win they will turn on each other and the environmnetal conditions could produce allot of mutations in their psyche and thinking.

but i see the advantages isreal will get, the waters of the litani and the houran region in syria will be for the taking.
Isreal will say they need a buffer to contain terrorists, while they build the dams and underground water pipelines into isreal.
Hezbollah needs to be taken out first, but that is not likely, you need to knockout iran first, because it can supply hezbollah and the future resistance in syria.
Isreal cannot interdict supply lines in syria and moving further out from the houran region will invite heavy casualties from IED's and ATGM missile hit and run attacks. combat air patrol and drones will not work in such a large region, and without knocking out iran, drones will be easilly knocked out by manpads, AAA's linked to small compact radar produced in iran that can fit into a pickup truck, not to mention the very cheap GPS jamming units that are the size of a IPOD and cost as little at $15 a pieace, a few dozen over a hundred square Km will deny the area to cruise missile and create problems for even the latest drones.

and whats even worse will be datalink jamming technology, right now it is very expensive, but it is shrinking and reducing in price,
in a few years they will be at an affordable price that you can throw away a couple of hundred and give it out to rebels like candy.
This mean drones will be dropping out of the sky all over the place, unless escorted by dedicated electronics warfare aircraft.
but then again whats the point of drones if you still need to deploy manned aircraft???

Iran needs to go or isreal cannot expand.

you could be right in the Syria situation, the future will show .....

but remember life is all about taking risks... and Israel did that in the 80s when they supported Hamas and Radical Political Islamism in order to weaken secular Palestinian nationalism and to create an islamist vs secular war among the arabs and it happen with the war between hamas and Fatah very smart......

Iran has been hurt by the sanctions they have now returned to the nuclear talks, as the regime in Iran weakens so does its support to anti Israel rebels.....
