I am sitting in my office on a call to a field mission when my eyes focus in on this tall woman who strolls in. My brain begins its google search trying to put a name to this familiar face. Finally, I remember her name. She was there meeting with some other staff on a project in Syria. After I finish my call, I wait for the opportunity to say hello. As she is leaving, I walk up and say hello to her and the staff she was meeting (average age 25). She is surprised that I am working there and says, "How long has it been since we last saw each other in college ?"
"A really long time ago," I reply.
"What has it been 18 years ? ?"
I am floored. "Its been a long time."
WTF ? Why was she trying age us a the time ? The expressions on the younger staff was priceless. When this woman and I went to college, they were in elementary school.
I have never seen a woman who is so upfront about time and age.
Note: She was a upper classman while I was a lower classman.
