The law will go ahead. Abdi cawaale qaadiid, the first successful somalian social activivist,and former khat addict,has triumphed over the khat addicts and their lobbyists. Their last resort is to insinuate somalis are khat addicts or terrorists. I am baasto " khat addicts need to find a job"unit.

I dunno why the UK government is copying al-Shabaab by banning khat. Nonetheless, the move is positive although the multi-million dollar industry will affect the economy of UK's ally; Kenya.

Khat is illegal in USA/Canada/Aussie and many European countries including Holland. UK is late to the game in banning this useless time wasting substance.
