You can imagine some poor girl living hand to mouth being approached by this foreigner. It's a no brainer for her because she wants that easy life this man could potentially bring with his "wealth". I think also Somalida are too welcoming and dont enforce their culture. Where as if this girl was Turkish she would have been probably killed. Why? because their men enforce their culture by any means.

Back in the day, may family knew this Turkish family whose ancestors lived in Somalia for centuries. They weren't the only family.
