Why is the culture of Not Intermarrying from Madhibaan not diminishing. We are moving too slow to accepting Intermarrying Madhibaan. There is no reason or excuse not to.

What can help diminish this practice faster?

To be honest the Madhibaan should stand united and speak as a collective. Perhaps they should make their experience(s) of discrimination known to the world. It is not very talked about from what I gather. Somalis are already vilified within the mass media so it shall be a simple task to get negative press out there. Popularize this issue and it will take precedence over FGM (which has been talked about to death).

major somali clans collectively chose to not marry from the madhibaans whatever the reason may be. to not marry from them; it is our prerogative!

I sense your disdain emanating from the screen. Why the scathing remarks, my socially conditioned friend? These pejorative and erroneous folklore about them is what needs to be the focus. I doubt they have much interest in marrying Somali people, as they notice their backwards nature. Accepting kikyu before they accept a cushite, utter madness I must say. I don't think we have the true meaning of kinship realized.
