7 Year Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Saddam

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

A secular lion of the Arab nation. Today, it is only Bashar who is left to wave the flag of Arab Nationalism. Allahu naxaristo Mujahid Saddam who was unjustly executed on December 30, 2006.

Under Saddam, the Arab nations were safe from Iranian infiltration, the Palestinian cause had a strong home and the most powerful arab state was kept united and orderly. He also crushed the most clear and present danger to the Arab nation: radicalist Al Qaeda movements. Usama Bin Laden did not have a foothold in the Middle East thanks to the secularist Saddam Hussein who espoused Baathism and combated fanaticism.

May Allah forgive his sins and grant him Jannah. One of things I really appreciated that he did was when in 91 before Desert Storm he released all Yankee prisoners after my favourite hero of all time Muhammad Ali went to see him and had asked him to release them. That earned Muhammad a lot respect and made him the most beloved American in his own country. Saddam said he could never let brother Muhammad go back empty handed.

He was a man that wanted aimed high and envisioned great things for his country. But he was also a typical arab socialist with a thirst for power and ways of coup proofing.
Ive wondered why his forces rolled over so quickly especially in the Qulf war; but he might have something to do with his small sunni demographic powerbase which caused a lack of morale amongst shiite.

Jam Street,

His only mistake was not taking out Saudi Arabia and ending the rule of monarchies across the Middle East. It would have taken him less than 7 days to sweep across KSA, Urdun, Qatar, UAE, and installing proBaathist regimes.

If you are going to war, don't dither and go all the way.

Estarix,

Saddam had miscalculated the Coalition. He should have been preemptive and rolled into Riyadh once the first foreign troops landed. By making an example of KSA, none of the others would have dared to host his enemies. He should have also struck a deal with Hafez Assad to protect his Western flank and signed a Hudna with the regime in Tehran.

Arabman,

It is reviving in Cairo and also holding on in Damascus.

I know right, but I guess they were jealous of sadaam and his style.

just how they portrayed the Othman empire which brought them the misery of the occupation of Palestine
they also betrayed the greatest arab ruler of the 20/21st century who kept everyone intact. Now with the consequences of Iranian dominance.

seriously when will the ever learn????

Al-Sissi and his cronies are worried; there's no going back to the status quo. This isn't gonna be a repeat of Algeria 92.

Arabman,

Algeria 1992 will be a walk in the park compared to what is in store. Al Sissi and Co. misjudged the MB. They should have laid in wait until the next election to oust them. The MB as a movement is extremely moderate compared to the more hard line movements.

Abdiwahab - let's just accept the reality here brother. The Muslim Brotherhood is dead and nobody dies and then comes back.

He's dead, so I'm not gonna insult His person. However politically I have zero respect for His legacy as He was just as big a stooge as the rest of the Arab World but just picked the wrong side and lost. No honor in that.
