Your New Year Resolutions

How are you keeping up with them ?

I am making progress. My resolutions are:

1. To become a vegetarian - I have not eaten any meat in 15 days. Its a struggle but my body is thanking me. I am down 10 lbs and have a bit more energy.

2. To be qabiil free in 2014 - I don't call Jananka any more nor do I attend qabiil pow wows. My wallet thanks me ! I am free to rail against the Salafi marriage bandits and what not. Sectarianism beats qabiilism.

3. To read a book a week and cut down on watching TV - I have a goal of reading at least 50 books this year. I am up to 3 so far.

4. To lower my gaze substantially 2014 and avoid aimless shukaansi - Its easy in the winter but come spring :(

Aw, good luck with all your new year's resolutions! Apropos of #2 on your list though, you may want start doing away with the HAG insignia in your avatar..

Hold up. You shouldn't get rid of meat out of your diet. Its not healthy. It goes against nature. Red meat I can understand though

Travel Solo
Start to learn a new language
Pick up as much skills as possible

Learn to budget. (Non existent)
Be more punctual. (still run on Somali time)
Get rid of distractions in my life. (Still needs work)
Be more open to trying new things & experiences (okay so far)


Got a bunch of others which I'm doing terrible with too. :)
