no i think isaaqs, dirs. and daroods living in Ethiopia shouldn't really have the id cards, I mean things would get crazy if they all were eligible.
just stick to the ppl that live within the sl borders.

I wouldn't be a citizen in ethiopia because my families dont reside there.. vice versa.

Same goes for them, but it is only Cisse and Gadabursi that are native to Somaliland
not all Dirs of Ethiopia.
It is near impossible to differentiate especially with the Gadabursi
What is more likely if those from Itoobiya start to move here in large numbers
is that anybody from the those clans will become eligible

I am talking about other Dir in Ethiopia like Gaadsan, Gurgure etc.

Many HA subclans and HY Ciidagale and Arab subclans and by extension many Gadabursi clans
exlusively live in Itoobiya ...Nobody can stop them if they want to move to SL and in the interest

were not present in SL in 1960

as for 1960 part, most were in haud also in 1960 so many of them wouldn't even qualify anyway.

as for 1960 part, most were in haud also in 1960 so many of them wouldn't even qualify anyway.

The fact those lands "ain't even developed" is what will draw many people back to SL.
You have Oromo people in their 10s of thousands in SL, and believe me many more than that
from the Kilil 5 Somalis already in SL ...I believe that trend of migration back to SL will
only continue over the next 10-20 years

Abdikarim If the non Somalilander Dirs are allowed to be called natives, wouldn't the Darood of various backgrounds also demand the same?

Laakin at least you must realise the Kilil5 Somalis especially the Dir
Jaarso and Akisho will make their way in large numbers to our home.
I believe we should absorb them not turn them away ...that is a personal opinion
I realise some my not like this.

As for Daaroods They're neither wanted nor do I believe they want to be in SL
therefore no pandora box there

Apparently there is 14,000 Jaarso families in Hargeisa and they have their own elders.

There is a significant populations of Akisho, Gurgure(Dir) and Madigaan (Dir) in Gabiley. During the local elections in 2012 each of those clans
had 1 MP in Gabiley.

They are already neutralized Somalilanders. :dwill:
