capital city= foreign and goverment investment why should a group of somalis benefit from it while others are told to get lost?
That's all you had to say instead of masquerading it with demographics.

Brother nomand, we must change the capital city from Shisheeye City.
I suggest Hargeisa or Garoowe.

Don't mention my city.

Muqdisho is like a house. The parents own it (Hawiye) and the kids live with them (non Hawiye). The parents make the household decisions (municipal govt) and the kids enjoy their life in their house. Muqdisho is yours too but just in a different way

i also was born in xamar and grew up there but times have changed, whats your view on xamar weyne mayor being a non cad cad?
Couldn't care less about whose qabiil the mayor hails from, as long as there's security, less corruption (various armed forces including the SNA extort money from the businesses) and political stability.

with this backward thinking and people wonder why we are where we are!

nobody cares about your tuulo such as jowhar you go and rule it but the capital city of somalia should be equal to all somalis, why are the turkish building a hospital in xamar and not in caabudwaaq or jowhar? because to them xamar= somalia. but we can clearly see it does not.

What's the big deal with xamar tho? I honestly prefer small towns (provided I have access to good technology and healthcare).

My family might own properties there but personally I never been there...

The purpose of this thread is to give the doubters & naysayers who have been consistently degrading & giving all sorts of mischievous labels to Mogadishu & it's people, a room to vent out their frustrations. The true motivation is jealousy & envy. They can't can't fathom how a city that has been a battleground for 23 long years is within the span of 2 years fundamentally transforming itself as one of the fastest growing urban centers in all of Africa with some of Africa's most valued properties. They look at the massive investments by foreign nations & companies in Mogadishu & it drives them to a point of instant depression.

Truth is these envious idiots were the same groups that used to label president Sh Sharif's 2009 historic trip to Turkey as "Sh Dalxiis" are bothered by Turkey's ensuing investments in Mogadishu where they are building some of Africa's best health facilities & infrastructures. It's not a topic motivated by any serious discussion b/c had it been one, the plights if disadvantaged peoples in the Jubba Valley like the Baajun would have been mentioned.

Forum movers from Mogadishu should enjoy the nervous breakdowns of these hateful bunch & bombard them with any & every images of Mogadishu's rapid developments so that they die of jealousy, envy & hatred. The sooner, the better!

Nomand,

Muqdisho has 3 million and one of Africas biggest cities. It needs hospitals. Small cities dont need hospitals. They need maybe 1 or 2 operating rooms and a few clinics. I used to live in a city of 250,000 that didn't have 1 hospital. Places like Jowhar and Cabuudwaq don't need hospitals. Hospitals employ hundreds of staff and is a huge operation. It costs a lot. Hospitals in Muqdisho are at over capacity. Hospitals in Cabudwaq, Jowhar, Bulo'burte or whatever will only see 5-10 patients a day. Maybe 1 needs heart operation the whole year.

You can't just build hospitals wherever you want.

Well, it has historically been a hawiye deegan before the civil war and now it is continuing where it left off.

It depends who you ask, if you ask a Somalilander they will spit on your face for associating them with this "foreign" city, some of the
other groups call it home though.

I don't undertand Somalis and their constant hate. Don't they know that development in Mogadishu means development for all Somalis. Mogadishu is the face of the country. If Mogadishu is a shit hole the world will assume the rest of Somalia is a shithole.

MashaAllah bit by bit you're seeing the light. Be totally distant from the khawaarij ans continue to the new direction you're facing awoowe. :)
